Great Pro-Life T-Shirts from Stand True

During the March for Life last week I had the opportunity to chat with my old pal Bryan Kemper, who runs Stand True Ministries. I mentioned to Bryan how much I love the designs on the T-shirts Stand True were selling at their booth at the March for Life convention (Bryan is the one who came up with the concept of Pro-Life T-Shirt Day). Bryan was kind enough to give me my favorite one—pictured at the right.
This design was drawn by Bryan’s friend Dave Quiggle. What I love about it is that it’s so visually compelling–the colors are attractive, the design is beautiful and so well drawn–and yet it does not scream out “Here’s a Pro-Life T-Shirt!” You have to look a little more closely at it to see the pro-life message—but because it’s such an attractive design, you do look, and see the slogan: “Pray to end abortion.”
They’ve got several other great designs too. I’m not sure if Dave Quiggle has drawn any of the other ones, but there are some good ones by “Graphix by Bethany” and others. Pro-Life T-Shirt Day is April 25—not too soon to order a T-shirt from Stand True. Get one now and you’ll have time to break it in!

The Survivors shirt are effective for the same reason the Stand True shirts are. I’m glad to send you some free ones to share with those in the Chicago area and to make available to teens there or in other areas where Generations For Life is present.

Hope you get out hundreds of shirts for National Pro-Life T-Shirt Day!

Hi! Tshirts can do wonders to make people think about what’s happening in the world in terms of life issues, and I love this tshirt design as well. One of my dreams is to have tshirts made, with the words “Peace begins in the womb”, with a simple but attractive drawing somewhere there. Alas, I don’t know how to draw, and the lack of funds is a hindrance. Maybe someone out there can do it instead =)
By the way, it’s great to come across this blog! I’ll be sure to pass by regularly.

I like your T-shirt concept. Maybe you could have a little unborn baby making the peace sign. That’s a little hokey, maybe, but I always like Rock for Life’s guitar-playing fetus logo. As long as it was drawn nicely, it might work.
Do you have any friends who can draw well? You might ask one of them to draw something up with this theme.
As for funds . . . I’m just thinking out loud here, but some day maybe Generations for Life could do a T-shirt design contest in advance of Pro-Life T-Shirt Day, and then produce a bunch of the shirts. The winner could be awarded with, say, ten of the shirts.
What do you think?

Hey I like it! The peace-signing preborn baby and the contest idea. I’ve worked with a few artists before (I used to be in publishing) but so far I haven’t really been pursuing this idea concretely. It’s all in the “maybe we can…” stage. It’s definitely worth a try. I wish we were in the same country, though — that would make things a lot easier and simpler )
Btw, I’m from the Philippines. Have you visited my blog? It’s PRO-LIFE MONTH here!

Yes, I did look at your blog—and only then did I realize that you’re in the Philippines. It just so happens that our Co-Director, John, is married to a woman of Philippine descent. So it would be kind of appropriate for a contest entry to come from your nation.

I sure hope this tshirt-designing contest sees fruition soon!!
I’m going to google your co-director sometime…
This site is a great source of information. I’ve put it in the list of links on my blog already.

I was on the following blog this morning: http://mommylife.net/
See what you think.
Maybe Ben would be interested in designing a T-shirt. Just a thought.

Dear friends,
My name is sofia Guedes, I’m Portuguese, and working with the Portuguese Federation of (pro) Life.
I’m writing you because we are going to have a Referendum for Abortion here in Portugal on the 11th of February( Our Lady of Lourdes Day!!!” In Europe, Portugal and Ireland are the only countries where abortion with no reason is forbidden. We are trying really hard to show the world that in a small country in Europe there is a people that will not permit the legalization of the Abortion. We need help from everywhere, and pray, lots of prayer.
ON the 28th of January we are organizing a March for Life, divided in 7 parts, from conception to older age. WE are using 7 colors from rose to purple. We end up with a song (Hine??) where we sing that Life is worth living. We had a image to the make all the divulgation, but today I saw one of your images, that is a baby walking in the womb of her mother (Ecography). What we ask you is it possible that we use that image in our “publicity”? Thank you for your attention and please let us know as soon as possible for us to prepare all the papers, etc.
Counting on your support and praying, I wish you a Merry Christmas in the present of Baby Jesus, in the warm of the Nativity time.
