Good point. The actions of all medicines (antibiotics, antihistimines, anticoagulants, etc.) except contraceptive aim at returning the anatomy to a prefixed state or health. So oral and other hormonal contraception are NOT REALLY MEDICINES at all. They are what can be classified as a POISON. Now we all know that the effects of this poison are desired but it is a POISON nonetheless. Not a poison in a sense of causing total physical death, but a poison of a function. I do not think people stop to think about this, because the effects of the poison are desired but that is exactly what it is. So oral and other hormonal contraception are NOT REALLY MEDICINES at all. They are what can be classified as a POISON.
