I didnt read that at all… Did you read Ms. Magazine or just reporting what you heard? There is a lot of suffering those declarations. I dont think I found one entry that had pride in it.

Then why wouldn’t MS also show the other side? How many women would write in to say that they regretted their abortions if they were given the chance? Unfortunately the main stream media won’t allow our voice to be heard through them.

48 million dead babies. Five thousand women who don’t regret what they did. 1 in 4 people are sociopaths. It seems to me that 5000 sociopaths do not represent the 40 million women who aborted their babies.

Even scarier than 48 million aborted babies, is 5000 women who aren’t the least bit bothered by it…

And if you tell me they are bothered by it but still don’t regret it, then I have to ask you: What are they bothered by? It was just a blob of cells, a fetus, a blastocyst, a non-person…what do they feel bad at all about? You see, you can’t have it both ways…

These brave women have opened themselves up to legions of people who will call them murderers or god knows what else. You hear time and time again from the anti-choice movement that women will regret their abortions. These women are saying they didn’t. Don’t they have a voice? I think if anyone should, the women who have actually experienced the tragedy of abortion should be allowed to speak and speak louder than anyone else.

The fact that MS is even bothering with this petition speaks volumes. The bottom line is that abortion has been legal for over 30 years. 30 long years!! and society still has not accepted it. Pro-aborts are still having to try to make it socially acceptable. Of the millions and millions of women who have had abortions (whether legal or not) they can only hope to get around 5,000 willing to rejoice in it by signing their petition?? What a joke!

The vast majority of women will always be terribly ashamed by their abortion because the fact that elective abortion is the destruction of a human baby is written on all our hearts and only the deeply troubled (their will always be some deeply troubled women)are happy about it.

World estimations of the number of terminations carried out each year is somewhere between 20 and 88 million.

3,500 per day / 1.3 million per year in America alone.

50% of that 1.3 million claimed failed birth control was to blame.

A further 48% had failed to use any birth control at all.

And 2% had medical reasons.

That means a stagering 98% may have been avoided had an effective birth control been used.

Dana hit the nail on the head. I’ll sign a petition saying “I HAD A BABY’. And in april i’ll sign it twice. As a matter of fact I know some women who could sign it saying “I had six babies” My grandmother could sign it saying “I had ten babies”. The sad thing is that for some ,that would be more terrible than having ten abortions.
The thing about down syndrome is that it is so often not the case. Those who have bothered to have the baby anyway have more often than not had perfectly healthy babies. I happen to find d/s kids angelic like and they never seem to lose their child like innocence.
I know those women signing the petition are trying to make a point but my guess is that it will backfire and bite them in the rear.

KAMPALA, October 4, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com, with files from New Vision) – The wife of the Ugandan president, Janet Museveni, has congratulated over 13,000 students for embracing chastity at a Kampala rally sponsored by the government as part of its AIDS prevention program.

Mrs. Museveni chastised the international movement to flood the African nations with condoms and encourage young people to have sex outside of marriage. “We are not against condoms but this is not a message for the young children. As a mother, I cannot advise my child to use condoms,” she said.

Museveni said, “Parents agree with me on this, but there are people who came here and fought our campaigns of abstinence and being faithful to one partner. They used money and shut down some people and confused others. I persisted and Ugandans are seeing the fruits.”

“Oh, no, not this Uganda thing again. What are we going to do? What if abstinence catches on and it spreads to other African nations? Even worse, what if it spreads to the United States? I don’t care how you do it, lie, cheat, do anything, but nip this thing in the bud, or we’ll all be out of work.”
