Mother Teresa’s Legacy Lives On

Missionaries of Charity

There’s a great article in Friday’s Chicago Tribune about a home for unwed mothers run by the Missionaries of Charity in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood.

The article is titled “Sanctuary for moms-to-be”, and is subtitled, “Nuns in Chicago offer unwed mothers safety and support during their pregnancies.”

Read it here.

This is really, really nice. I often dreamed that if I won millions of dollars in the lottery, I could start or donate to an initiative such as this.

“Except for the ring of a doorbell or the crying of a baby, the home is quiet; there is no radio or television.”

I wonder if they allow the Tribune.

Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about!

This is what I mean when I say that part of the blame for abortion being legalized falls on us. Homes like this should be everywhere.

    Lauren,
that 10 dollars you donate? There you go…the perfect charity.

Do they take all kinds of donations? They have been there a year and I never heard of them. They sound awesome!
