Show Me a Culture That Despises Virginity And I’ll Show You a Culture That Despises Children*

From a country where homeschooling is illegal and “offending” parents are jailed (see here, here, here, and here) comes this:

A German court decision earlier this month ordered a gynecologist who “botched” a patient’s contraceptive implant to pay €500 [around $650] a month in child support for the next 18 years. (The patient gave birth to a son nearly four years ago.)

This Irish Times article notes the reaction of the German newspaper Die Welt, which calls attention to the unspeakable psychological harm this case inflicts upon the boy:

“A child as a case for damages – this perverse idea has now been confirmed by one of Germany’s highest courts.”

While it should be welcomed that a doctor can now be held to account in the same way as a shoddy plumber, the newspaper said, how could a child whose parents had sought damages for its birth ever come to terms with the situation?

“In addition to the highly private inkling that he was not wanted by his parents, he now has official confirmation that he was born by mistake,” it said.

How long until we see a similar case on this side of the Atlantic?

Once again we look at Germany and say “Oh thank God we are not like them.” Murdering people that they think are less than human, trying to create a superior race, euthanasia, …wait a minute…I’m confused…this sounds just like America…hmmmm, scary.

DAYTON, Ohio – The investigation into the death of a baby who authorities believe was heated in a microwave oven was difficult because of a lack of research on the effect of microwaves on people, a coroner’s official said.

China Arnold, 26, was jailed Monday on a charge of aggravated murder, more than a year after she brought her dead month-old baby to a hospital on Aug. 30, 2005, police said.

“We have reason to believe, and we have some forensic evidence that is consistent with our belief, that a microwave oven was used in this death,” said Ken Betz, director of the Montgomery County coroner’s office.

He said the evidence included high-heat internal injuries and the absence of external burn marks on the baby, Paris Talley.

This is what happens in a country where life is dispensible…
    Hating children indeed.

    Yes,
and I don’t understand the people who get upset when we compare the holocaust to abortion. Seems pretty self evident to me…perhaps they’re just singing too loud…
