Thanks John. I didn't think anyone here would actually have answers (unless of course they had been there) but I thought I'd share my thoughts anyway. I'm really excited to go. =)

CC,

A few years ago, some of the staff members of Catholic Answers, along with at least one priest, traveled to Russia.

I'd suggest calling them and ask to talk to someone there who either went on that trip, or who at least would have the knowledge to be able to answer your questions.

One of the things I'm worried about as far as going to Russia goes, is that I've been told that they are skeptical of religious people and don't trust them. Part of me wonders if it will be better for me to let my life and work be a witness, or if I should really go ahead and speak about the good news? Or only if someone asks? I don't want anyone to think that my sole reason for going to Russia to to convert people or something... but I do hope that someone asks me what motivates me to be there volunteering.

Pray that God opens doors for me to share the gospel! =)
