A New Club

I was on retreat this week-end and ran into Sabina Kruse from St. Mary’s in Byron, IL. She was at the talk I gave a few months ago for the Rockford Diocese with her
daughter and two of her daughter’s friends. She came up to me at the retreat all excited that the kids had started a club of their own. They’re calling themselves “Alpha Omega Teens for Life.” Alpha and Omega are Greek for beginning and end meaning they respect all life from conception until natural death. I thought it was a pretty creative name. Anyway, she’s supposed to send me some pictures of their group because I promised I would put them on our blog. So hopefully I’ll be posting that soon. It’s good to know that something concrete comes from our speaking.

Speaking of speaking…awhile ago, I asked John to email me some info on what is needed and what is offered by you guys in regards to speaking at our youth group. Our next meeting is coming up and I was hoping to give something to our youth group liaison…
Thanks,
MK

Marykay,
Thanks for the interest in having us speak at your parish’s youth group. I’ll resend the information you requested awhile back.
For others who would like to invite us to speak to their group, you can contact us through the Contact GFL link on the left-side menu. One of the options on the drop-down list on the form is “Invite Generations to Speak.”
Selecting that option gives you another drop-down list that allows you to select what kind of presentation you’d like us to give.
Then, after you send us that initial e-mail, we’ll contact you to discuss in more detail what our presentations consist of.
I’m glad you mentioned this, Marykay, because there are a number of things we’re planning to do in 2007 in the area of improving this site. One of these is to add a section that concisely explains the various presentations we give.
Stay tuned…

Annie,
Nothing goes to waste in the pro-life advocacy, but of course the apparent fruits are always nice to see. Indeed, the youth can come up with some pretty creative stuff. What a cool name for a club =)

Sabina,
I’m so glad you checked us out and commented! I treid to e-mail you several times, but the address I had was bad.
You can just e-mail me a picture and then I can post it.
I’d love to come out to one of your meetings. I’ll see what I can work out. Keep up the great work!
