Thanks again for dropping by our blog. We don’t have any events planned in Springfield at this point, but I’d recommend you sign up for our new GFL-Wire e-mail list, so if we do plan another event near you, that will be the easiest way for us to let you know.

One thing we do have planned for the next few months, though, is our annual pro-life teen conference — TeenSpeak — which will be on January 31. One of the speakers at this year’s conference is going to be Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We’re also sponsoring an essay contest with a first prize of $1,000.

We’re holding it in the Chicago area, so while it’s not exactly in your backyard, we still want to invite you to come, as we’re hoping teens from all over the state will be able to make it.

Hey, this is Mark again. Sorry I haven’t dropped by the site in so long. I’ve probably missed the Face the Truth 08 Tour, but if there’s gonna be one next year somewhere around our area, is there any way I could get the dates and times? I really want to participate. That cold February morning (my 17th birthday, btw) was pretty amazing.

I would love to participate in a Face the Truth Tour here in town. I feel pretty confident that my parents would let me do this, because this is a serious issue, and they were proud of me for joining the picket line at the Obama rally, and that would be the only problem, if Mom and Dad won’t let me go. Like I said, that shouldn’t be a problem. Just let me know the date and locations and I’ll get it worked out with my parents.

Mark and Hilary—Thanks for dropping by the blog! That was a really fun morning, wasn’t it? I’m so glad that you guys came out. By the way, did I get Jessica and Samantha’s names right? I was afraid I might have them backwards.

What would you think about a Face the Truth Tour in Springfield this summer some time? We could drive down on a Saturday and visit three different sites with our signs—with your help. Take a look at our Face the Truth video to see what it’s all about.
