Supreme Court Victory!

The Partial-Birth Abortion Ban has been upheld.
Justice Anthony M. Kennedy wrote for the majority in the first-ever decision by the Court to uphold a total ban on a specific abortion procedure — prompting the dissenters to argue that the Court was walking away from the defense of abortion rights that it had made since the original Roe v. Wade decision in 1973 recognized a constitutional right to end pregnancy medically.
Wow – this is a very, very good thing.
The Court’s ruling can be downloaded here [PDF].
***UPDATE, 12:50pm: My boss, Joe Scheidler, is doing a radio debate (apparently with at least one pro-abort) regarding the Supreme Court’s decision on a National Public Radio affiliate in Southern California just after 1:05pm today – about 15 minutes from now.
You can listen live from the station’s website.

But Lauren, this procedure isn’t needed to save the life of the mother. There are (unfortunately) many other forms of late term abortion. Actually, abortion is never necessary to save the life of the mother.
* Quote from Dr. Alan Guttmacher, pro-abortionist and former head of Planned Parenthood, in 1967: “Today it is possible for almost any patient to be brought through pregnancy alive, unless she suffers from a fatal illness such as cancer or leukemia, and if so, abortion would be unlikely to prolong, much less save life.”

Alan Keyes, Judie Brown, Flip Benham and Bob Enyart spoke at an event in Denver the other day on the anniversary of the first abortion law in the nation being passed.
They ALL agreed that the recent Supreme Court dicision was an evil ruling after they read and analyzed the decision.
