Planned Parenthood’s Sneak Attack

There’s an article in today’s Chicago Tribune — titled “Abortion clinic built under radar” — that confirms information we got several weeks ago that Planned Parenthood is planning to slyly move into a building currently under construction in Aurora, IL.
The building is located next door to a Dominick’s grocery store and other businesses, and there are homes a block away.
If it opens, this huge 22,000 square foot building will be one of Planned Parenthood’s largest abortion clinics in the country.

As Eric said in an article on the Pro-Life Action League site, “They tried to sneak into Aurora with this massive new facility, but we found them out. Now they’ll try to sneak into our schools and lure in our children. We won’t let them.”
We’ve already begun making a series of plans — including leafleting the surrounding community, talking directly to the contractors, holding a community meeting with Jim Sedlak of STOPP Planned Parenthood, and protesting at the site on August 22.
We’ll be posting more specific information about these plans soon.
One paragraph from the Tribune article caught my attention:
“This is a conservative community — but teens are very sexually active,” said Wendy Fegenhols, who recently retired from the DuPage County Health Department and serves on the Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health. “Anyone who is in contact with the school population recognizes the need.” [emphasis added]
Remember the Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health (ICAH)? They’re the organization that featured a performance by a stripper at their annual adults-only fundraiser last month.
Their fundraiser last year was held at the Playboy headquarters.
On the Illinois Campaign for Responsible Sex Education’s links page, one of their “recommended links” for teens is Go Ask Alice!, Columbia University’s “Health Q & A Internet Service”. (The ICRSE website explains that it is “a joint project of the Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health and Planned Parenthood/Chicago Area”.)
Just one click from the Go Ask Alice! home page takes you to a page that lists several questions. One of these questions is, “Menage a Trois?”
Answering this question, Go Ask Alice! gives advice on how to arrange a threesome, and says that “there’s nothing wrong with giving it a try, as long as you’re all practicing safer sex…” (That’s just for starters. On the site, there’s much, much worse.)

With these things in mind, look again at this comment from Fegenhols, the ICAH spokeswoman, regarding the new Planned Parenthood abortion clinic:
“Anyone who is in contact with the school population recognizes the need.”
It seems to me that anyone who cares about the well-being of kids would recognize that an organization that holds adults-only fundraisers featuring porn providers and strippers can’t possibly be serious when they say they provide “services” kids “need”.

I just received this for those of you in the Chicago area…
Pro-Life Friend –
I need your help. As you’ve no doubt heard, Planned Parenthood is planning to open an abortuary on the East Side of Aurora (240 N. Oakhurst) on Sept. 18. It would be one of the largest abortion facilities in the country.
This news has generated national media attention — and tremendous zeal among area pro-lifers. I’ve been inundated with offers to help, and some people are already going out to the site to pray, try to talk to the contractors, etc. Thanks be to God!
Here’s where I need your help. I would like to meet with committed pro-lifers from the area this coming Monday to discuss our strategy.
Here are the details:
WHEN: August 6 at 7:00 p.m.
WHERE: St. George Church basement, 720 Rural St. in Aurora.
MAP: http://tinyurl.com/2nmxvo
At this meeting we will discuss details for a 24-hour vigil at the PP building for the 40 days before the scheduled Sept. 18 opening. I will be asking for volunteers not only to commit to praying at the site but to help recruit others.
I’m also looking for help promoting an open Community Meeting planned for Aug. 16 at the Prisco Center. And we need people willing to get in touch with local churches, prayer groups, civic groups, etc.
If you are willing and able to take an active role in the campaign to stop this abortuary, please attend the meeting Monday. Everyone who attends will be given a special job to do to ensure the success of this campaign.
Yours for Life,
Eric J. Scheidler

Greetings!
Today begins a 40 Day / 24 hour prayer and fasting vigil for LIFE and to stop the new Planned Parenthood facility in Aurora from killing human life. Please join us in prayer as you are able.
The vigil begins today, Thursday Aug. 9th at 8:00am, and will be held outside the PP facility in Aurora, IL near the corner of New York and Oakhurst (the light just east of Eola). (Just east of the Dominicks on the corner of New York and Eola).
For more info, we’re in the process of building a web site, http://www.familiesagainstplannedparenthood.org. It will (eventually) also contain a schedule of hours needed for people to volunteer.
For now, if you are able to come out to pray, please let us know the date and time(s), for scheduling purposes. You can contact us at 630-896-9446 or life@elizabethandroger.com.
Also, please consider some sort of fast for these next 40 days. Planned Parenthood is the type of “demon” that won’t come out on prayer alone, in our opinion.
Thanks and God Bless,
Elizabeth and Roger Earl

P.S. Please feel free to forward this email to those you know who can support this cause.

I went to the new Aurora (IL) Planned Parenthood Abortion Mill today to take a look at it. It is supposed to open on Sept. 18th. When I got there about 2PM today there were four ladies there praying the rosary. I joined in with them to pray the rosary. When we finished the rosary two other people from the area who were just driving by joined us. Then two more ladies joined us and soon afterward two priests joined us. We had 11 people there praying the rosary at the Abortuary. I was really happy about the turnout.
While we were there they had the sprinklers on for the grass. One lady commented its strange how Planned Parenthood puts so much effort to keep the grass alive but then terminates the lives of so many humans. It made us all think a bit.
If you can make it, come join us for the 40-day prayer vigil (I think its 24 hours). It’s in Aurora. You can take Rt. 59 north past I-88 to New York Street. Turn right on New York street. Then go left on Oakhurst Drive and its right next to Dominick’s. We had people there from Aurora, Naperville, Batavia, Wheaton and Lombard.
This vigil would be a good time to hand out Project Gabriel/Crisis Pregnancy Center bumper stickers from Woman’s Choice Services which is a Catholic Crisis Pregnancy Center headed by Peter Breen.

Hope to see you out there!!
