[...] After our rally on August 25 that brought out over 1,200 people to the Aurora Planned Parenthood site, Planned Parenthood/Chicago Area CEO Steve Trombley tried to downplay the numbers, saying this was a one-time thing: Most people spend their Saturdays taking their kids to the soccer game, doing things around the house, and I think as time moves on, people will go back to their normal lives.
It seems to me both sides do their part in distorting and trivializing the issue here. On one hand, no one is really Pro-Abortion. The reason for Planned Parenthood and the plethora of other community clinics and private agencies doing what they do is educating to prevent unplanned pregnancies. They do this in a variety of ways because one viewpoint or one group of people cannot dictate the choices of an individual. Ideally, there would be no need for clinics that also do abortion because everyone would either have planned pregnancies (or at least be in a relationship where they were ready to raise a child), abstain from sex, or be sexually active while using contraceptive methods. Working in a prevention agency myself, I find a lot people (especially teens) just aren't educated enough about how to protect themselves, what their values are, or the benefits of delaying sexual activity.

The pro-choice folks just feel a woman should be able to choose what she does with her body. They have a good point--a valuable viewpoint in this democracy we're supposed to live in. But we can't just let everyone go around having abortions at any duration of the pregnancy and just because they feel like it.

The pro-life folks don't want abortions to happen because it denies the chance for these little souls to have the opportunity at life. I agree. I hope we all do.

But if there are no clinics, folks are going to keep having abortions. And it will turn into a black-market thing as it used to be. And those who can't afford the expensive black market abortion will turn to increasingly drastic measures to end their pregnancy, probably killing the unborn (or maybe not) and endangering their own life.

And what about all the other egregious examples of lives ending unjustly, too soon, visciously, and/or against their will. For example in Iraq or any war--the innocent civilians, children, killed. Or the more deeply imbedded injustices of life slowly seeping out among those destitute, in poverty, affected by global forces and the might of nations much larger than their puny existence. Where are the "pro-lifers" then. That's the only trouble I have with that term. It implies you support peace, the opportunity to live, and life at all cost anywhere. I don't see those same groups protesting wars.

Not so linear, all these thoughts, but respond as you see fit. That's really what i'm getting at anyway, everyone needs to discuss more deeply this very complicated issue.

I find the situation in Aurora very upsetting. 90% of what they do is prevent abortion??? Huh? That means 10% of the time they kill babies, innocent children! How is that right? The comments of the pro-"choice" folks is truly disturbing!!

If you click on the link "not so much" within the above article and then scroll down and click on "a series of articles", you go to something called the RHRealityCheck website. But their reality is so distorted, truth no longer exists there. I thought I had entered an alternate universe! All the wonderful pro-life folks like Priests for Life are made out to be evil and against women. The pro-choice folks call us 'anti-choice' and 'anti-women' instead of PRO-life. Everything pro-life advocates say is distorted and the truth is hidden - they actually deny the medical and emotional consequences of abortion! It is truly a disturbing website!!

If you go to YouTube and look for videos from the Aurora protest, you will also find a video called "Who's Harrassing who?" A small group of pro-life Catholics is prayering the rosary while pro-"choice" harrassers yell and scream in their face. But the man leading the rosary tells the group to look into the faces of those angry people and he tells them to see the face of Jesus and to remember that Jesus died for all of us. The most disturbing image is a woman holding a sign that says "keep your rosaries off my ovaries" - If only the pro-"choice" folks truly knew what they were doing, they would stop very quickly! They truly need our prayers!!!

The Power of Prayer is incredible!

Keep the Prayers Coming.

Already Great Fruit has come from all the prayers in the Aurora Abortuary.

This is just the beginning.

So how do 1200 pro-life demonstrators equate to "Planned parenthood is welcome in our community?" At least, that's what the female

Fox News field reporter sounded like she said. Also, the Fox news newswriters were clearly in the pocket of PP, talking about all the good things they do, other than abortions. Right, like calling passing out contraceptives a health service, and what about their known promotion of promiscuity? Fox News is no better than the mainstream media, sick and pro-abort.
