A “Public Service Announcement” from Planned Parenthood Golden Gate

— Posted by John (January 3, 2008 at 2:00 pm)

I’ve said before that it’s fairly common for us to get hate mail at Pro-Life Action League/Generations for Life. We’ve especially gotten a lot the past several months during the ongoing fight against Aurora Planned Parenthood.

Many of these messages criticize us for fighting Planned Parenthood because, you know, abortion isn’t the only thing Planned Parenthood does.

One guy who wrote us last month plainly said — and these are his exact words — “Yes, it is wrong to kill babies but you can’t say that all Planned Parenthood does is kill babies.”

I’ve responded to enough of these types of e-mails that I now have a form letter I just copy and paste in reply:

Dear [Name],

Thanks for writing.

You’re right. Killing babies isn’t the only thing Planned Parenthood does.

In recent years, Planned Parenthood has boasted of covering up the rape of an 11-year old girl. If you don’t believe me, see this blog entry from former New York Post writer Dawn Eden.

They’ve also put out cartoons fantasizing about blowing up pro-life demonstrators. If you don’t believe me, see this blog entry, also from Dawn Eden.

[The video Dawn writes about in the link above — “A Superhero for Choice” — is included below.]

They’ve also lied to raise money. If you don’t believe me, see this and this from our blog.

I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want Planned Parenthood in my community.

BTW, just today, Dawn wrote about Planned Parenthood Golden Gate’s latest “public service announcement”, which, it says, is aimed at 18-24 year olds and will run on MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, and TLC:

Don’t forget the tremendous increase in breast cancer risk Planned Parenthood is handing out in the form of contraceptive pills, and the foisting of abortion upon pro-life countries like Mexico and Ireland, through PP International. Our tax dollars at work, here, folks!
There is no end to the evil started by eugenicist Margaret Sanger. Google “The truth about Margaret Sanger”.

    Good point Leticia.
It’s amazing that people fail to accept that suddenly ending a pregnancy, causing problems with hormonal balance, can lead to a slew of problems.
People also fail to accept that artificial hormones for preventing conception can lead to breast cancer, depression or possibly increase your chances of heart attack and stroke, the number one killer of women

Having gone through sex-ed I can say that they informed us of the risks of birth control or abortion.

Planned Parenthood is a complete monopoly that must be stopped. Their presence in minority communities is shameful. Thanks for standing against them. The thing is this: providing contraception is NOT the only thing they do. Contraception is fine in my book… preventative birth control is a lot different than abortion.
