Sarah’s Law

This November in California, voters will have the chance to pass Sarah’s Law, which would require parental notification if a minor girl under the age of 18 wants an abortion.
The vast majority of Americans support parental notification laws—even many who call themselves “pro-choice”—and states that have passed these laws have seen a reduction in abortions among minor girls [PDF].
Christina at Real Choice summed it up:
If it’s about “choice”, there’s no excuse for anybody — except sexual predators and people who profit from sexual abuse of underage girls — to oppose Sarah’s Law.
A group called Friends of Sarah is sponsoring a YouTube video contest to promote Sarah’s Law. Details are available here.

Christina says:
The most important thing to stress is that “Sarah’s Law” allows parents to sign, in advance, permission for their daughter to get a secret abortion at any fly-by-night her abuser brings her to. So parents who think parental involvement “endangers teens” — or who just can’t be bothered — can exempt their daughters and the men who get them pregnant. They’d just no longer be able to do what they’ve been doing for decades — giving such permission for EVERYBODY’S daughter.

QUinn says:
This is an EVIL law because it REGULATES the murder of babies.
ALL laws that regulate the murder of the innocent are evil laws that no decent person should support.
