The March

If I could only pick one word to describe the 2009 March for Life, it would be:
Huge.
I was helping to hold the Generations for Life banner, so I wasn’t able to take any pictures during the March itself, but I was able to take a few before and after. I’ll try to have more up next week once I get them from others, but I’m posting these below for now:
Yesterday’s massive turnout at the March for Life is the good news. On the other hand, today’s bad news — although not at all surprising — is that President Obama has issued an executive order lifting the Mexico City Policy, which means that our tax dollars will now once again start going to organizations that promote or perform abortions in foreign countries.
We pro-lifers definitely have a lot of work ahead of us these next four years.

The March was awesome!
Obama has a lot of work to do too with all this pro-life momentum challenging his pro-abortion agenda. We have to keep it up!

Read somewhere the estimate was between 200,000 to 300,000 marchers! Awesome turnout!!
As for the lifting of the Mexico City Policy, if Obama’s focus is on creating jobs and stimulating the US economy…what good will sending the much needed $$$ to another country to kill unborn babies and promote promiscuity???
Really shows you what his TRUE priorities are, huh?

just read this after I posted..Fr. Pavone’s comment on the Mexico City Policy:
“Forcing Americans to pay for the killing of innocents will not ‘bring us together;’ there can be no common ground when the ground is soaked with innocent blood.”
…looks like Obama just declared war on the battlefield of Life…

The March was so motivational and encouraging for me!!! It was nice to have the truth reinforced that we (Pro-lifers) are not alone, that we have God on our side and that in the end the truth always prevails (despite our powerful enemies)!
Also, no matter if the media boycotts the event people all across the country are aware of what’s going on! The day of the March two of my family members were happily surprised to discover that several of their coworkers were not only aware of the March, but had family also attending! The whole experience just filled me with hope and boosted my idealistic plans! Just remember that God is on our side and nothing is impossible with His help!
