40 Days for Life Saves Lives, Changes Hearts

—Posted by John (November 3, 2009 at 1:39 pm)

40 Days for Life ended this past Sunday, and the results were amazing.

This was the fifth ever 40 Days for Life campaign. Before it started on September 23, more than 1,561 babies had been saved by abortion at 40 Days for Life vigil sites. Now that number is over 2,000.

In addition, eight workers in the abortion industry quit their jobs—including Abby Johnson, the former director of the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Bryan, Texas!

Her story is amazing, because her conversion started when she actually witnessed an abortion on ultrasound!

And as you can imagine, the Planned Parenthood where she used to work isn’t happy:

If you took part in a 40 Days for Life vigil, God bless you! But whether or not you did, I still hope you’ll consider going out to an abortion clinic to pray on a regular basis from now on.

Why Is Planned Parenthood Trying to Expand in Aurora?

—Posted by Eric (October 15, 2009 at 10:13 am)

In a development that reopens the whole controversy surrounding their deceptive arrival here, it has recently been disclosed that Planned Parenthood is planning an expansion at their Aurora site. They are seeking permission from the City of Aurora to boost their parking by a whopping 27 spaces, an increase of nearly 40%.

I'll go on and explain the entire situation—including the deception going on here—in a moment, but first (more…)

Planned Parenthood’s “Teen Talk”: New Look, Same Bad Advice

—Posted by John (June 3, 2009 at 10:45 am)

**Warning: This post includes graphic language from a Planned Parenthood website.**

For years, pro-lifers have been warning about the dangers of teenwire.com, Planned Parenthood’s website for teens. (Pro-life blogger Dawn Eden wrote one of the best articles on why Teenwire is so bad in the Christian magazine Touchstone a few years back.)

But now, Teenwire is no longer Teenwire.

It’s now Teen Talk, according to teenwire.com’s Facebook page:

Basically: new look, same content.

But no matter how “fancy-pants” Planned Parenthood wants to dress it up, the advice it gives is never in the best interests of teens’ physical health (not to mention spiritual health).

Use your own good judgment to decide if you want to check out Teen Talk, and definitely don’t watch any of the videos if little kids are around. (more…)

Planned Parenthood “Violations Map”

—Posted by John (February 13, 2009 at 12:16 pm)

live action map.jpgWe’ve posted several entries over the past year highlighting the amazing undercover investigations carried out by Live Action Films, led by UCLA student Lila Rose.

Just this week, LAF unveiled its “Violations Map”, highlighting Planned Parenthood’s repeated failure to report statutory rape, along with other disturbing practices.

Check out the map here.

Inexpressibly Disgusting

—Posted by Christina (November 29, 2008 at 10:51 pm)

“Choice on Earth” Christmas cards, gift certificates for Planned Parenthood, “Free Christmas Packs” of abortifacient and contraceptive pills: inexpressibly disgusting!

These are examples of Planned Parenthood and other abortion-providing organizations’ new forms of degrading Christmas. They aren’t content with killing babies and wounding their mothers and families; they also have to degrade and insult the great occasion that marks the birth of our Saviour, and that also is the fulfillment of Mary’s “yes” to God’s will for her life, even though it was unexpected and not yet totally understood by her. This Video Won’t Last Long on YouTube…

—Posted by John (October 30, 2008 at 9:50 am)

Whenever a video of undercover footage exposing the truth about what really happens inside an abortion clinic is posted on YouTube, it’s usually yanked soon after for no reason.

So I’m sure this shocking video, just released by Students for Life of America, won’t last long either:

(If it’s no longer available on YouTube, you can also see it here on Eyeblast.) (more…)

“I Saw Some Things I Can’t Get Out of My Head”

—Posted by John (October 22, 2008 at 7:11 am)

Imagine you’re a “pro-choice” first-year medical student who spends a day at an abortion clinic for the first time.

That’s the perspective taken by an anonymous writer on her blog, Pudu Overload (it’s now offline), where she wrote about being “incredibly freaked out” about her experience at a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic on Saturday.

But before it was removed, pro-life blogger Dawn Eden reprinted the entire post on her own blog (where she also included screenshots of the original post).

The first abortionist the med student shadowed was “a 66 y/o male doctor who has performed 200,000 abortions” in nearly 40 years:

I asked the doctor about why he does what he does and he said “I have a great job–no one else can have a patient walk in the door with a huge problem and completely fix that for them in five minutes.”

Later in the day, she said, “the nurse brought me to the back room again and I saw some things I can’t get out of my head.”

Dawn is asking for prayers for this med student, and many other pro-life bloggers are, too, including one who wrote:

Before babies can be killed, consciences must be seared. One student (who describes herself as prochoice) has something go right in her soul, despite her efforts to submit to the searing process.

I pray the Holy Spirit and her guardian angel help her to keep her conscience alive and not submit to the lies she is tempted to believe for the sake of ideology and career advancement. Save her, O Lord!

Amen.

The Latest from Planned Parenthood

—Posted by John (July 29, 2008 at 7:34 am)

We’ve heard before how bad Teenwire is. Now, Planned Parenthood has a new website aimed at teens, and American Life League looks at it in the latest ALL Report.

Use your own good judgment to decide if you want to watch the ALL Report, and keep in mind ALL’s disclaimer:

While our report does NOT present the nasty stuff, please use great discretion when viewing the contents of the site, and be sure not to watch any of the videos with kids around.

For those in the “pro-choice” movement, all they have to say about how to prevent STDs is: Use condoms. That’s all they have to say because it’s all they can say, and it’s all they can say because they believe it’s unrealistic to expect anyone—especially teens—from practicing self-control and chastity.

And yet we know that’s not true. (more…)

Good Stuff Happening

—Posted by Christina (July 12, 2008 at 10:26 am)

For some time now, Planned Parenthood has been scheduled to build a new, large abortion facility in Portland, Oregon. And if I have it right, this is going to be their regional headquarters.

One especially disgusting thing about this particular Planned Parenthood is that it is being built right on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, and in a heavily black neighborhood! We’re sure that they are specially trying to target poor black people. Sick!!

My family and I go to church in Portland, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, so we have been keeping up on what is going on with this abortion mill. An organization was formed for the express purpose of stopping this Planned Parenthood from being built. It is under the direction of Bill Diss, and is called Precious Children of Portland. (more…)

Margaret Sanger Interview, 1957

—Posted by John (July 8, 2008 at 2:54 pm)

Check out this eye-opening interview of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger conducted by Mike Wallace in 1957.

Here’s an excerpt:

WALLACE: What are your religious beliefs, Mrs. Sanger? Do you believe in God in the sense of a Divine Being — who rewards or punishes people after death? (more…)

Trying (and Failing) to Look More Respectable

—Posted by John (May 14, 2008 at 12:48 pm)

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you might remember the Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health (ICAH).

In partnership with Planned Parenthood, ICAH is part of a coalition called the Illinois Campaign for Responsible Sex Education. (ICAH and the ICRSE apparently operate out of the same office, as they have the same mailing address.)

The Campaign’s goal is to strip all funding of abstinence education for Illinois schools and instead require them to use so-called comprehensive sex education programs.

You may also remember that two years ago, ICAH’s annual fundraiser was held at the headquarters of Playboy magazine in downtown Chicago. I took part in a protest of the event, and wrote about it here.

Tickets to the adults-only event cost $75, and those who kicked in an extra $50 were also entitled to “a tour of the Playboy offices and art collection” as well as a VIP reception with Christie Hefner.

Anti-Playboy sign

Christie Hefner (the daughter of Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy), has been its CEO since 1982. It was she who decided that the company could make more money by producing increasingly harder-core pornography — something that even her father was reluctant to do for a long time.

ICAH’s 2007 fundraiser — also an adults-only event — featured a stripper and was held at “Chicago’s premier liquor spa”.
